MAJOR PROJECTS

M7-M12 INTEGRATION

We are currently delivering asphalt paving works on the M7 Motorway, Sydney, supporting one of New South Wales’ most significant motorway corridors.

Our scope of works reflects our proven capability to operate within Tier-1 project environments, delivering asphalt services in accordance with Transport for NSW and RMS specifications, and in alignment with the safety, quality, and delivery standards expected by principal contractors.

With experienced crews, well-maintained plant, and established quality and WHS systems, we reliably deliver asphalt works across live traffic, staged, and night-work conditions. Our team works collaboratively with project stakeholders to achieve program certainty, consistent workmanship, and minimal disruption to road users.

This project highlights our capacity to contribute effectively to complex, high-volume infrastructure works where safety, compliance, and performance are critical.

RACE OF CHAMPIONS RACE TRACK

Asphalt Paving Solutions Pty Ltd was proud to play a key role in transforming Accor Stadium at Sydney Olympic Park into a world-class motorsport venue for the prestigious Race of Champions.

Turning a world-class football stadium into a professional race circuit is a complex engineering challenge that requires precision planning, specialised equipment, and highly skilled crews. Working within the unique constraints of a stadium environment, our team was responsible for delivering the high-performance asphalt surface required for international motorsport competition.

From Stadium to Race Circuit

The project involved the construction of a temporary asphalt race track built entirely within the stadium, designed to accommodate high-performance racing vehicles while protecting the underlying stadium infrastructure.

Our team worked closely with event organisers, engineers, and contractors to deliver a surface that met strict performance and safety requirements all within a 24 hr window. The process involved:

  • Detailed planning and staging to allow heavy machinery and materials to be safely transported into the stadium.
  • Protective layers and base preparation to safeguard the stadium surface and ensure the track structure performed under high loads.
  • Precision asphalt paving using specialised paving equipment capable of operating within the confined stadium environment.
  • Careful compaction and finishing to achieve a smooth, consistent racing surface capable of withstanding high speeds and intense cornering forces.

Despite these challenges, our experienced crews delivered a high-quality racing surface that performed flawlessly during the event, showcasing the capability of Australian asphalt construction on the international stage.

A Showcase of Capability

The Race of Champions project demonstrated Asphalt Paving Solutions’ ability to deliver complex, high-profile projects under demanding conditions. Being involved in transforming one of Australia’s most iconic stadiums into a motorsport arena was a unique opportunity and a proud moment for our team.

The success of the event highlighted the precision, planning, and craftsmanship required to create a professional race surface, reinforcing our reputation for delivering specialised asphalt solutions across major infrastructure and event projects.

NORTHERN ROAD UPGRADE

We have been heavily involved in the Northern Rd Upgrade. These combined upgrades will deliver new and improved roads to support integrated transport in the region and capitalise on the economic benefits from the Western Sydney Airport at Badgerys Creek. These will improve safety, increase road capacity, and reduce congestion and travel times in the future.

The Northern Road upgrade covers about 11.3 kilometres between Peter Brock Drive, Oran Park and Mersey Road, Bringelly, including The Northern Road and Bringelly Road intersection.

NORTHERN BEACHES HOSPITAL

We worked with Ferrovial and Boral on the upgrading of roads around the new Northern Beaches Hospital. The upgrades will provide customers with a better travel experience, increased capacity on the road network and improved access throughout the area.

M5 TUNNEL

The M5 East between King Georges Road at Beverly Hills and Marsh Street at Arncliffe.

The work had been scheduled to take place while traffic volumes were significantly reduced due to the COVID-19 virus and the Easter Holiday period 2020. The safety of our crews was our highest priority. Our crews followed strict hygiene and appropriate social distancing measures as they delivered the necessary surface upgrade.

AIRPORT ROADS

The NSW government is investing in upgrades to the roads around Sydney Airport to improve traffic flow and access around the airport and Port Botany. We have been working on a number of major roads with the Airport East and Airport North Precincts.

HARBOUR BRIDGE

We were selected, through Boral Asphalt, to work on the resurfacing of the SYDNEY HARBOUR BRIDGE. This is the first time in the history of the iconic Harbour Bridge that such extensive work had been carried out. We are immensely proud that we were chosen for this extensive work and worked hard to ensure the project was successfully completed on time.
